A Visit To Twin Falls

We have been so busy lately-June is always just so crazy with basketball stuff every weekend.  Tammie had invited us to come to Twin Falls (they are staying there for the summer in their camper because Mike is a project manager for a huge Greek yogurt factory being built) to celebrate Mike's birthday, and at the last second we decided to go.  We decided to make a mini vacation out of it, so we reserved a hotel room and made calls to make sure our Sunday callings were covered.  We were glad that Zane, Rachel, and Hudson would also be coming!  We drove until Burley and decided we would stop for a bite to eat.  We pulled into Perkins and were led to a big corner booth in the back.  As we sat down and got settled, we noticed our table was a bit wobbly.  Yes, that is an understatement.  I could put my water on the table and it would slide towards me!  Damien and I were laughing so hard at what a joke our vacations turn into-we are not great travelers!  Needless to say, we never did just ask for a new table but instead chose to laugh and roll (like our food was doing on the wobbly table) with it.  We didn't get to Twin until about 8:30 p.m. and stopped by the campground to visit their new "home".  It was a LITTLE crowded in their nice camper, so we only stayed a little while and then headed to the hotel.  The kids were so excited, and so were Damien and I, actually.  The  room was super nice and we got settled.  Zane and family came by for a little visit before we bribed the kids to bed. :)  In the morning, we treated ourselves to the free breakfast downstairs, and hurried to get swimsuits on to hit the pool!

These stairs were Addison and Eden's best friend during swim time.

Carter loved the water and is getting so good at swimming.

McKoy is a little more timid around the water and spent a lot of time in the hot tub.  He will start liking it better as he gets more opportunities to be around the water.

Korvs was too tired to care much about it!

Adds would venture off the stairs as long as her dad was holding on to her.
Hudson liked the water and was keeping his dad busy running from stairs to hot tub!

The boys can't be five feet away from each other without having to rough house a little!  (Dad included!)

Hudson wasn't too sure about Damien, but I think he did end up cracking a tiny smile after a while.

We got showered and changed and headed to meet up with Mike and Tammie.  We were sure excited to see Cody, who had been living with his dad for the last few months in Texas, and are glad we is back!  His big brothers didn't waste any time (and actually made up for the months lost) and showed Cody LOTS of "brotherly love"! He is good to just take it and even dishes it out pretty good too!

Did not expect this to happen and was caught way off guard as Damien grabbed me and pulled me in for a kiss!  Zane was quick to snap a picture!

Addison-We came unprepared and had to grab whatever random jackets had been in the van. :)

McKoy climbing the rocks...this is zoomed in as much as the camera would go...

That is really how far away he was-that tiny figure inside that circle in the middle of the photo...

Mike, Damien, and Zane trying to relax and catch up.

Eden liked exploring.  Their little dog, Einstein, liked to follow her.

The Birthday Boys-age 50 and age 10

Tammie got Mike a black and white cake and yes, she lit 50 candles!

It was a fun weekend and we were glad we were able to visit them!
