Jimmer and March Madness

March flew by-much like the month before that, and the one before that, and the one before that....

Damien started track practices about the second week of March, with lots of those being indoor because of the weather that Idaho is famous for.  Brrr!  He had coaching clinics in Reno and Provo and we missed him while he was gone.

We got together with my family to celebrate my older brother, Nathan's, birthday on the 6th.  (Party was the next day on the 7th.)  Nate is a h.u.g.e. BYU fan, particular Jimmer, so we had a big BYU bash.  Marie made this sweet "Jimmer" cake (yummy red velvet). She is so creative!  We all wore BYU clothes and had copies of Jimmer's picture everywhere.

March Madness is big around this household.  We all fill out our brackets and keep close watch over each game played.  (Being the loyal Blue Devil fan, I picked Duke to go all the way but no luck there.)

My dad planned a March Madness Party for all the little boys on Friday the 4th, which worked out great since there was no school that day.  Jill and Amber even came up from Ogden and the boys were excited to play with Stockton and Spencer!  They had a basketball tournament in Marie's gym, had a roping lesson, and played, played, played.
McKoy ended up getting really sick during it and had to be practically carried to the couch where he promptly fell asleep.  (The in-house doctor, a.k.a. Uncle Jake Poulter, checked him out for us and declared ANOTHER case of strep throat, only his FOURTH in four months...)

Since the boys had a fun day planned with Grandpa, we decided the girls needed a fun day too!  We planned a Fancy Nancy party at Grandma's and it turned out really fun!

Megan and Marie brought their dress up clothes and all the little girls had a blast trying on different things!  We had to do a little fashion show and Grandma snapped a picture of each one!
We had a yummy lunch and enjoyed the afternoon together.  After the boys and the girls were all done partying we all headed over to the Poulter's to watch BYU play but ended up leaving at half time because poor little McKoy was SOOOO sick!
