Semi-Annual Girl's Weekend

After our last girls weekend we decided that we needed to have a girl's weekend that included less shopping and a little more down time with some learning involved.  So we headed up to Idaho for Girl's weekend at my mom's house.  Nikki Sue's basement flooded the day before we left so she had to stay and get some work done!  We sure did miss her though!  We slept at my mom's house, stayed up way too late, got up late and went for a walk that morning then headed into Stockman's for lunch.

I've said this before, but I am truly blessed to have all these women in my life.  I am so amazed at all their talents, testimonies, and strengths.

After lunch, we saw a sign that "FREE" and slammed on the brakes, reversed, and hit it up!!!  The picture above this one shows the back of the car---loaded up with all our free stuff !  So funny that we are all so much alike.
For this Girls Weekend, we decided to each bring something to teach the others, to share our talents and strengths with each other, and hopefully learn something!  Candace did an AWESOME mini class on couponing, price matching, and good websites for deals.  It was so helpful and she made each one of us this folder full of all her good information.

Meggan taught us how to cut a boy's haircut (Graham was a good little model), Jill taught us how to make homemade tortillas that we used for chicken tacos for dinner-so good, Amber taught how to install fonts/design an invite on the computer, and I taught how to download music from YouTube.

The next morning, we hada baby shower for Candace.  We did a "Mother to Bee" theme and it turned out so cute.  She got so many nice things and it went really well.  Candace is amazing.  She is so talented, creative, and kind.  She will be an excellent mother!

I made her these onsies with 1-12 on them to use for documenting her baby's first year.
