Smith Family Farm

Damien has pretty much decided to live out his dream and be a farmer.  We are now the proud owners of nine chickens, two goats, and two cows.  He built an awesome chicken coop...

It's all done now and it's going to be awesome when the chicken start laying eggs.

These blasted goats are trouble!  We let them in the yard a little to eat some of the edges and tall grass, but they get to playing and forget all about eating! Today they were really entertaining-I had to snap a few pictures so the boys and Dad would believe all the crazy things they were doing!  They loved climbing on the rototiller....

...and trying to run up the slide, only to slide back down again...

...this one is so curious about everything, and soon figured out how to open and close the screen door.  Yeah, that got to be annoying after a while.

After all that playing, the took a long nap under the kid's bench in the shade.

I sure like having them eat the ditch banks and I'm sure Damien does too, since he's the one who weed whacks the lawn!
