Christmas 2011

Christmas Morning
Mom sounds slightly tired in these videos.  But yeah, 4 am tends to do that to her.  She jokingly told the kids the night before Christmas not to wake up before 4 am, but those boys were not joking when they tapped her awake at 4:01 am.  She was going to make then wait for an hour or two so the girls could keep sleeping, but then saw the light leave their eyes, and Mom immediately regretted smashing their excitement, so she grabbed the camera and told them to wake their sisters up.  That's part of the Christmas fun, right?

 Santa Made It...
Eden absolutely loved her "Baby Alive Doll" that eats a bowl of bananas and drinks a sippycup and talks.  She also loved her bath time Dora and Boots toys, Ariel Barbie doll, candy, the traditional box of cereal, and stocking stuffers.

It's never too early for candy!!!

Addison loves her Barbie camper, doll accessories, cereal, candy, and stocking stuffers.

McKoy was excited to see the Nerf dart gun, a Transformers Wii game, cereal, candy, and stocking stuffers.

Carter was pumped to find a basketball hoop, Battleship game, Mario Bros. Wii game, candy, cereal,  and stocking stuffers.

Dad is always so good about helping where he can, regardless of the early hour.

Santa almost cleared the plate of Oreos and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, his favorite!

The Presents Under The Tree...
Eden loved ripping all the paper off of her gifts.

Maybe slightly confused about what she had just opened, she was super excited when Mom explained they were big girl undies!

Addison was excited to see her own little Book of Mormon, with her name and all, from Mom and Dad!

McKoy loved this cool car that Grandma Karen got him.

Thanks to Grandma Karen, our movie collection just about doubled this year!  Addison was glad to get some fun kid movies!
So was Carter!  Thanks Grandma Karen!

Eden also get her own Book of Mormon, and the girls were excited to play with the cute little tea set Grandma Karen got them.

Aunt Nikki Sue gave Addison and Eden the cutest, softest pillow pet and blanket sets.  Addison's was a lamb and Eden's a giraffe.  They were a huge hit!

Carter got loads of stuff this year!  Mom and Dad gave him: snowshoes, Duke sweatshirt, Operation game, a journal, football piggy bank, thermals, and new basketball shoes.

McKoy was happy to find all this great stuff under the tree for him!  Mom and Dad got him: snowshoes, basketball piggy bank, thermals, Ant in Your Pants game, Tornado Science Experiment toy, giant checkers game, and a journal.  The boys also got the Madden 12 Wii game to share.

Addison got lots of fun things!  Mom and Dad gave her a little white rocking chair, Ariel doll, clothes, makeup, Don't Spill the Beans game, and a Barbie movie.

Eden got from Mom and Dad: a little white rocking chair, a Rapunzel doll, Cootie game, clothes, and makeup.

Here's what our living room looked like after all the fun!  I didn't get a picture of Dad and I's presents but we got lots of neat things including: new pots and pans, Mom snow boots, Dad snow pants, hot cocoa maker, and a few movies.

Christmas Eve...
How excited the kids were to be able to get to sleep all together upstairs in the girl's room!  The boys made a big, comfy bed on the floor and then posed for a couple of pictures!

Eden was excited to have the boys in her room and was the last one to finally nod off to sleep, not too our surprise, though.  She is so full of life!

Addison could hardly wait for morning to come!  She went to sleep quickly so Santa wouldn't miss her!
We've never done lights very seriously on the outside of our past homes before, but I was sure impressed with the job Damien did this year!  We never had time to go and cut our own tree, so we bought one for $25 at King's. :)
