Carter's Summer Baseball

After Carter's regular season baseball ended, he was asked to play on the Shelley All-Star team. He was pretty excited about it! He had practice 2-3 times a week and tournaments in Blackfoot (July 7, 8, 9) and Malad (July 28, 29, 30).

Carter played catcher most of the time.  Here he is getting all his gear ready.

He made a lot of good friends during these long games and enjoyed being on the team!

He was pitcher, too.  Nice throw, Carts!

Strike One, Carts!  You can see the ball just behind his bat...he swung a little late on this one...:)

There's a good hit!  See the ball out in front of him-flying out towards the field?  Good job, #1!

Here's Carter playing catcher.  HE did a great job at stopping those balls and getting it back to the pitcher.  (makes the game go a little faster, too!)

Haha!  This picture is so funny because Carter has this BAD HABIT of watching the ball when it's hit!  Damien and I would always tell him, "Don't watch the ball, just run!"  He always said that he doesn't watch the ball, but I was able to show him the proof and give him a hard time about it!

Yeah, the truth is, Shelley All-Star team never won a dang game, the whole time, but the boys sure had fun and hopefully gained some knowledge of the game.
