Carter Turns 9!

Carter's birthday was on a Tuesday this year, and on Tuesdays we have a house full of kids!  Madi, Gabe, and Colter would be here along with my four, and we have a pretty set schedule that I try to run by to make things less crazy for me.  So every Tuesday we usually have a THEME DAY TUESDAY, so for this week's theme, I decided to work a birthday in there to and make a PARTY THEME for the week.   Krishaun's little boy was celebrating his birthday on Thursday, so we did a little combined party.

(This is kind of how we plan our week: Tuesdays we introduce the theme, do a fun activity, Wednesday is Library Day, each kid has to pick one book about our theme-meaning Ashley mostly has to run around with her head cut off looking for seven books about birthday, party, celebration, or whatever the theme is for the week...but the kids think it's fun and feel important when they get to show us their book, and Thursday we do a craft/project to go along with the them, all though nothing I have had planned for a Thursday has ever went off as planned.  We are usually joined by my two really good friend, Becky and Krishaun, and there kids, and hopefully my sisters will be able to make it to the ones in the future, but it is lots of fun and keeps the kids looking forward to something.)

Here's the picture we used for the "Pin the Hat on the Birthday Boy" game!

Here's a video of McKoy's turn at the party game.  He is wearing his splint like a good little boy for a broken elbow.

That night Carter was supposed to have a baseball game, but because of the weather it was cancelled.  We went back home and opened up presents.  Grandma and Grandpa were there and Carter was excited about the present they had with them!

Grandma always makes the shape of the number you are turning out of candy-see Carter's #9!  My kids look forward to that on each present from the wonderful grandparents.

If you can't tell, Carter was tinkled pink with the Stack Attack game that they gave him.

I'm so Glad I caught this in a picture.  Many of you will know what she's doing-belting out a song, with eyes closed of course.  I will try to get her to do this on a video for me because it's hilarious!

Happy Birthday to our wonderful son, Carter!
