Can you believe that we have a child old enough to be baptized?!?! I can't! Carter had been looking forward to this day for a long time, as have the rest of us. We sent out these invitations letting our friends and family know about his exciting upcoming baptism...
Carter asked Aunt Nikki Sue to play the piano, Aunt Amber to lead, Cousin Jaden to say the opening prayer, his mom to give a talk on baptism, his dad to baptize and confirm him, his grandpas to stand as witnesses, his Grandma Baldwin to give her extremely anticipated talk on the Holy Ghost, and his Uncle Zane to give the closing prayer. Here is a copy of the program:

I had a little "Carter Wall of Fame" with pictures and things about Carter taped up. Here is one of the fun tags that were hanging-somehow the rest got thrown away. We sure love our awesome 8 year old and he sure does make us laugh!

Carter received this letter in the mail from our Stake Presidency (President Mark L. Searle, Barry W. Hanson, and Mark V. Nelson). He thought it was pretty neat.
Carter is blessed to have many friends and family that love him very much. He received many thoughtful gifts, and here are a couple of cards that he received.
Carter sure is blessed with lots of good grandpas and grandmas. Here he is with Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin.
Somehow we got the Baldwin Clan together for a picture! :)
Grandma Karen, Carter, Grandpa and Grandma Spence (Karen's parents) They drove up from their home in Bear Lake and are so good to support our family in all we do.

Our first attempt at a decent family picture: FAILED!

We had a breakfast after the baptism and was glad to have a beautiful day to enjoy together outside. We served pancakes, sausage, eggs, hash browns, juice, and chocolate milk (kinda the same thing that we did for Eden's blessing) and it was so good and we had plenty of food for everyone. Damien and I had to go get tables and chairs from the church-7 tables and 50 chairs. We had lots of help with food-preparing, cooking, cleaning, and most importantly, eating! We hope Carter remembers his special day in all the years to come. His father gave him a beautiful confirmation blessing and gave him the gift of the Holy Ghost through the power of the priesthood. How grateful I am to have that power in our lives, and also for the Spirit that guides us through each day. My hope for Carter is that he can be able to recognize the feeling of the Spirit and allow it to guide and protect him. We love you, Carter, so much and are proud of your decision to become a member of the church.
